Additional Information

WASA's beginnings can be traced back to 1889 when it existed as the Wilgie Sketching Club. The present society was incorporated in 1896 and is now regarded as a vibrant entity with a membership of around 150 talented located artists.

WASA prides itself on being the home for beginners and professional artists in all main media categories and the upcoming exhibition will include a diverse selection of mediums including oil & acrylic, watercolour, en plein air, printmaking, pastels & drawings and digital & 3D art. The display will also be complemented with exhibits of sculpture, glass, textiles and pottery.

WASA's motto is to 'Encourage, Educate, Exhibit' and at the 125th Anniversary Exhibition, you'll have a unique opportunity to meet the passionate local artists and admire their works up close.
