Artist's Talk: Ron McBurnie

Join Ron McBurnie, leading Townsville-based artist and educator, as he talks about his latest his Mackay art residency and culminating exhibition In Search of Arcadia. In 2019 and 2020 McBurnie completed an extended artist residency with Artspace Mackay, capturing beloved landscapes and views of this region en plein air. Drawing inspiration from early traditions of British and European printmaking and painting. The resulting suite of work on paper is shown together in a major celebration of the beauty of Mackay and its surroundings, from Cape Hillsborough beaches to cane fields in Eton.
