About
Join us at Wallsend Library for a special LitUp Program event featuring award-winning author and illustrator Dub Leffler. In this inspiring all-ages celebration, Dub will host a 1-hour workshop sharing his creative process—from illustrating picture books to exploring techniques like “reading scribbles” and drawing with the right side of the brain. The event opens with a vibrant performance by an Aboriginal Dance and Yidaki group from Raymond Terrace Public School.
With a 25-year career, over 30 books, and accolades including the 2019 CBCA Book of the Year for Sorry Day, Dub’s work is celebrated worldwide. Books will be available for purchase from MacLean’s Booksellers, with a signing session to follow. Enjoy light refreshments—this free event is not to be missed, but bookings are essential! If you have any access or inclusion needs, you will be able to advise us when booking.
