About

Ten years since the inaugural edition in 2015, the iconic Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race returns to Geelong, the Surf Coast and the Bellarine Peninsula. Set in front of a scenic backdrop and in the summer sunshine, the Cadel Road Race is the premier weekend to enjoy the array of activities and experiences on offer across the region. Presented by Visit Victoria, the UCI WorldTour Elite Men’s and Women’s races will again deliver action-packed cycling, headlined by the renowned Challambra climb. Starting and finishing on the Geelong waterfront, the women race on Saturday while the men compete on Sunday. The TAC People’s Ride also returns on Saturday - seeing thousands of cyclists ride on the same roads before the professional race. For the family, join the GeelongPort Family Ride along the picturesque waterfront, on Friday night. Mid-week racing will see the men's and women's lead-in races, the Surf Coast Classic, give the pro peloton a strong hit-out before the weekend's main event. Catch them at the finish line on The Esplanade at Torquay. With live sites, entertainment, food and drink on offer across the weekend – it’s abucket list event for cycling fans. A spectacle on Australia’s cycling calendar, the Cadel Road Race drew more than 140,000 people to the region in 2024. For more information head to the website.
