Collection Exhibition: A Message from our Sponsor - the Works of Eric Thake

The wit and whimsy of Australian artist Eric Thake in explored in an exhibition of engravings, linocuts, and photographs from the Town Hall Gallery Collection. Born in Auburn, Victoria, in 1904, and trained at the National Gallery Art School, Thake was well known for designs and illustrations that offered stylistic interpretations of Australian life. ‘A Message from our Sponsor - the Works of Eric Thake’ celebrates both the artist’s versatility, and Town Hall Gallery Collection’s commitment to acquiring works by significant Australian artists who have lived and created in the inner East of Melbourne.
