World Triathlon Multisport Championship Townsville 2024

World Triathlon Multisport Championships sees the world’s best athletes head to Townsville in 2024 to compete across five world championship disciplines comprising various male and female race categories for elite, age group and para-triathletes. The Championships debuted three years ago, and it has quickly grown into one of the most popular and diverse events on the global calendar. There is something for every athlete, with five World Championship titles up for grabs across the ten days of competition; in duathlon, cross triathlon, aquathlon, aquabike and long-distance triathlon. The Multisport Festival - secured through a partnership between Tourism and Events Queensland, Townsville City Council, IRONMAN, Triathlon Australia and Townsville Enterprise - will be the biggest sporting event ever to be held in Townsville, attracting more than 8000 athletes and spectators. Athletes are required to qualify through events sanctioned by their respective national federations.
