About
The annual Aberdeen Highland Games takes place on first weekend in July each year and is run in conjunction with the Scottish Australia Heritage Council's Heritage Week.
If you are a camper or have a caravan, Bush camping sites are available at AUD50 per site. Valid Wednesday 1st July to Sunday 5th July. No powered sites. Toilet and shower facilities. No Vehicle movements between sundown and sunup. 10klm speed restriction within camping area. No outside cooking or fires. for more information check the web page.
During the day a number of events take place together with stalls providing food great coffee and Scottish/Celtic displays all of which represent traditional Celtic culture and recreation.
The games are a gathering of pipe bands, Clans, dancers, heavy event participants, to help celebrate the Scottish/Celtic history of the Upper Hunter. There are a number of novelty events for children.
Parking is free attendants will guide you in.
Entry Cost
Adult $30 - Extra $5.00 surcharge will apply to tickets when purchased at the gate on the day.
Child $0 - Children under 13 yrs. Proof of age may be requested at the gate.
Concession $25 - Concession Card Holder and Children 13 to 18 yrs. Proof of Concession or age may be requested at the gate.
Companion card excepted.
Extra $5.00 surcharge will apply to such tickets when purchased at the gate on the day.
