About

Join a guided wild mushroom foraging tour with an experienced licenced forager for a great opportunity to learn how to find, pick and process wild edible mushrooms. The meeting place is Millionth Acre Recreation Area at Hampton beyond the Blue Mountains and from there is just a short drive into one of nearby State Forests to harvest precious nature's gift - wild mushrooms. The guide will teach how to identify and collect edible mushrooms, then will process them to cook a scrumptious lunch and explain how to preserve the bounty. She will also run a safety check of each foraging basket. The participants will take home what they found. Moreover, they will gain confidence to safely recognise two varieties of wild edible mushrooms which will allow them to go to the pine forests to collect these mushrooms in years to come! Entry Cost All tickets $95 - $5 ticket for children under 12, paid on the day
