The Folk by the Sea is an intimate folk festival event featuring the sounds of folk, world, roots, Celtic, bluegrass and gypsy music held over in September in the picturesque seaside town of Kiama, famous for its blowhole. The event is ticket only entry (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) featuring around 35 artists from around Australia in many, many concerts at Kiama Showground and surrounds. This is the chance to get together with your mates and relax with world class music right next to the sea or why not become involved with the dancing, sessions or poet's breakfast? There are a variety of accommodation options in Kiama, from luxurious Bed and Breakfasts and hotels to tents and cabins at the caravan parks.
