About
Run Dungog is a community running festival , which caters for runners, Joggers and walkers of all ages. Either run for yourself on the Saturday and then join the family on the Sunday, or just take part in the Saturday or Sunday races.
Events are held on country roads or bush trails and are well marked Run Dungog takes place on the land of the Gringai people, within the Karuah Aboriginal Land Council. They acknowledge the traditional custodians, and pay respect to the Elders, past and present.
The event consists of five laps of a 10km trail course, which you either run as a team, swapping runners at the 10km Race HQ mark, or running as an individual and coming through Race HQ every 10kms until you have completed the 50kms.
The team event can be run in groups of two to five runners. Runners are required to “switch” at the event HQ area and the course is a 10km loop, so you will need to work out how this will work with your team - alternating laps, one runner completing more or just five runners doing 10km each. We are totally flexible on the configuration of the team.
