See Santa arrive by Steam Train

Santa completes his annual trip from the 'North Pole' to the Museum in style on the 'Valley Heights Mixed' - an 1890 carriage hauled by 130-year-old steam loco 'Stevo'. At 11:00 and 14:30, Santa greets the excited children before making his way to his 'grotto' in the 1914 heritage-listed Roundhouse, where they have a safely distanced chat with Santa. Be ready with your camera for your own personal photos and remember to collect a free gift bag for each child! Then take in the activities at this fascinating museum, including a ten-minute ride on the Steam Train** and the delights of brilliantly restored engines and carriages. View models, artworks, small exhibits and more. Everyone can enjoy this complete experience with the sights and sounds of bygone eras. Grab a hot or cold drink & ice cream (takeaway only) from the café while the shop can help with a range of souvenirs and last-minute gifts.
