Join some of Australia’s finest literary talent alongside international luminaries as they share the story behind their stories. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Blue Mountains, get ready to come away inspired. 20-22 October, 2023. You will be spoilt for choice with over 85 writers including Charlotte Wood, Clive Hamilton, Craig Foster, David Marr, David Suzuki (Canada, live streamed), Ellen van Neerven, Holly Ringland, Julia Baird, Nardi Simpson, Richard Fidler and Robert Dessaix appearing at the historic Carrington Hotel. The Festival will also showcase 2023 Stella Prize Winner Sarah Holland-Batt and 2023 Miles Franklin Literary Award Winner Shankari Chadran. There is plenty of choice with gold and silver pass weekend passes and single event tickets available so that you can create your own adventure. Come and listen to the well-known writers you love or discover some of Australia's up-and-coming literary stars. The Blue Mountains Writers' Festival acknowledges the Dharug and Gundungurra people as the Traditional Owners of the land where these experiences are being shared.
