Unfortunately, many ANZAC Day services and events around NSW have been cancelled. The Australian Government and health authorities have announced the cancellation of all non-essential gatherings of more than 500 people outdoors and 100 people indoors to control the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Please check the event website before undertaking any travel. There are various Anzac Day Commemoration Services taking place in the Ballina Shire. Ballina RSL Sub-Branch: 5:30am - Dawn Service commences at the Ballina RSL Memorial 6:30am - Breakfast at Ballina RSL Club 9:15am - Commemoration service at the East Ballina cemetry 10:15am - March Assembly for the Anzac Day March is at the Ballina Court House 10:30am - March commences and proceeds down River Street to the Ballina RSL Memorial cenotaph. Alstonville RSL Sub-Branch: 5:20am - Dawn Service commences at Elizabeth Ann Brown Park 9:10am - March Assembly at Paddy Bugden VC Memorial 9:30am - Commemoration Service, parade through Main Street through to Elizabeth Ann Brown Park.
