About the Event
About
A thought provoking exhibition charting the history of the Business and Professional Women's Club of Albury.
The Business and Professional Women’s Club of Albury was formed in 1953 and closed in 2008. It was part of Business and Professional Women Australia, a national group affiliated with the international movement, which began in the USA in 1919. Its goals included supporting and promoting personal development, providing a forum for the exchange of ideas, and lobbying for issues affecting women. BPW Australia’s achievements include working towards equal pay, parental leave, and anti-discrimination measures.
This thought-provoking exhibition charts the history and achievements of the BPW Club of Albury and investigates the legacy that BPW has left behind.
