Music in the Gardens - Hussy Hicks

Critically acclaimed Australian act, Hussy Hicks - led by soulful vocalist Leesa Gentz and guitar whiz Julz Parker have made a name for themselves both locally and on the international stage. A band of accomplished and powerful women, Hussy Hicks run a gamut of musical genres incorporating blues, folk and riffy rock with gypsy, surf, alt country and soul, all cheekily woven together with beautiful vocal harmonies. Known for their emotive lyricism, energetic live shows and fiery, frenetic instrumentation, you won’t want to miss this all female, four-piece band, set to get the gardens jumping. Get in early if you want to take advantage of the limited number of chairs and tables provided or bring a rug and cushions to sit back and relax on. Pack a picnic or enjoy the food and drink available. Food selections on offer include burgers, paella, ice-creams, coffee and a selection of Posh Plonk wine. Feel free to bring your own alcohol, but please take note that this is a smoke-free event. Music in the Gardens is a series of free outdoor concerts at Albury Botanic Gardens during Autumn and Spring presented by AlburyCity and Johnsons MME with support from the Murray Conservatorium.
