Beth Peters: Rest

Murray Art Museum Albury (MAMA) presents Rest, the first solo exhibition at MAMA for local Chiltern-based artist Beth Peters. A single line, representing the thread of consciousness, weaves in and out creating detailed, large scale drawings. Mapping the movement of thought from the artists internal world to the external, Peters threads together images inspired by textiles, repetitive woven works that speak to the complexity of being neither wholly present or absent in any moment. Murray Art Museum Albury has five to seven exhibitions on at any given time. A visit to the museum includes a visit to MAMA Store, featuring independent Australian designers and makers from the Murray region. Canvas Eatery is located on the ground floor of the museum, and takes in the sunny aspect of the QEII Square gardens. MAMA is open seven days a week, and entry to the museum is always free.
