DESCRIPTION:Explore historic Yass cemetery and uncover the life of explorer Hamilton Hume to commemorate 200 years since the Hume and Hovell expedition.\n\nYou will meet other notable figures connected to Hume and Cooma Cottage\, as well as some colourful characters from Yass' past.\n\nThis engaging 60 minute guided walking tour is led by experienced volunteers from the Yass Valley History Centre.\n\nPlease note: the cemetery ground is uneven in places and not suitable for strollers or those with mobility issues.\n\nFollowing the tour\, you might like to take a short drive to 41 Irvine Drive and visit the annual Yass Can Assist Open Day at historic Cliftonwood.  There will be house tours\, Devonshire tea\, live music\, antique farm machinery and much more.
