DESCRIPTION:Enjoy a special tour of the house and garden followed by refreshments on the veranda.\n\nTake a unique tour with a different perspective of Beaumont House.\n\n Claremont Cottage built In 1849 by Augustus Short\, first Anglican Bishop of Adelaide and wife Millicent Phillips. Purchased by Sir Samuel Davenport and wife Margaret Cleland in 1857\; a politician\, horticulturist\, pioneer of SA’s olive oil\, wine\, silk\, and perfume industries. In 1907 purchased by Major William Vincent and wife Alice Buzzard\, and in 1911 by lawyer Richard Bennett and his bohemian wife Lilian Brocksopp. He died in 1929 and she married Kenneth Brock in 1936.
