Many branches focus on knowledge and skills sharing and workshops across a raft of interests.\n\nMany branches conduct fundraising to buy equipment for a local school\, medical or sports facility.\n\nMembers are fond or our reputation as celebrated cooks and skilled craft workers. The public are welcome to join our competitions in cookery\, floral art\, photography and knitting and crocheting. Contact your&nbsp\;closest branch&nbsp\;for details.\n\nWe also prepare\, deliver and serve food and drinks to front line responders such as volunteer fire fighters and other emergency service people during a natural disaster.\n\nAs a state wide Association we provide practical and financial support through our&nbsp\;Public Rural Crisis Fund.\n\nOur advocacy is indispensable and starts at branch level with issues raised forming the basis of where the QCWA lobbies governments – Local\, State and Federal – for improvements and ultimately change.\n
