Free\, all welcome.\n\nChristiane Keller: Weaving the Coast (Exhibition Showing 21 August – 17 October)\n\nFor years\, Christiane Keller has been captivated by the intricate patterns etched into rock striations. While camping along the south coast\, she developed a process to transform these patterns and their colours into fibre sculptures that extend off the wall. Each piece begins as a precise reproduction of the rock’s surface\, transferred onto frames of recycled wire and woven with natural fibres and repurposed materials. Some fibres are dyed to match the colours of the rocks\, while recycled elements—including marine debris collected from local beaches—bring new life to discarded objects. The exhibition is complemented by a short documentary film offering insight into Christiane’s artistic process. Her work celebrates the distinctive coastal environment cherished by many Canberrans and demonstrates how waste materials can be transformed into enduring art. Through these sculptures\, nature\, community\, and sustainability intersect\, revealing unexpected beauty in both the landscape and the materials we often overlook.\n\nAdelaide Worcester: Toxic (Exhibition Showing 21 August – 19 September)\n\nThis solo exhibition of sculptural and wall-based works examines bullying and toxic workplace cultures. Through bold visual storytelling and dark humour\, Toxic explores how it feels\, and the systems that enable such harm – through complicity\, victim blaming\, and the gap between policy and practice. Adelaide Worcester is a Canberra-based artist working in mixed media\, sculpture\, and textiles. Her practice uses everyday materials to explore themes of power\, trauma\, and mental health. Her work aims to disrupt silence and make space for empathy and meaningful change.\n\nKaren McSwan Silsby: Chaos and Order (Exhibition Showing 21 August – 19 September)\n\nKaren McSwan Silsby’s abstract paintings emerge from a deep impulse to impose structure on a world in flux. She confronts the turbulence of personal\, political\, and environmental crises\, fragmenting the chaos with grids and nets\, and stitching through the layers of paint\, canvas and mixed media to deliberately demonstrate resistance and resilience. Karen McSwan Silsby is an artist working and studying on Ngunnawal and Ngambri land. She is primarily a painter working in acrylics and mixed media and has recently completed her Bachelor of Visual Arts at ANU. She has participated in over 20 group exhibitions since 2015\, and her work is in private collections in Canberra and interstate. This is her first solo exhibition.\n
