SUMMARY:Damian Showyin with Studio A - Suede Blue
DESCRIPTION:Suede blue is the first solo exhibition of Damian Showyin\, initially presented at Mosman Art Gallery. It presents Damian's output across a formative year\, during which he evolved his long running painting practice into the three-dimensional sphere. \n\nFilling two entire gallery spaces\, Damian's exhibition intersects painting\, sculpture and architecture\, and builds an environment of curiosity\, wonder and playfulness. The audience is invited to self-navigate Damian's dynamic world\, finding both points of interest and moments of meditation.\n\nDamian Showyin works with Studio A\, a Sydney-based leading supported studio for artists with intellectual disability.\n\nProudly funded by NSW Government.  Presented in conjunction with Studio A.\n\nOriginally commissioned by Mosman Art Gallery and curated by Shan Turner-Carroll.\n\nAs a leading Australian supported studio\, Studio A is driven to ensure artists with intellectual disability have a voice in contemporary Australian culture and to provide employment to their artists through sustainable creative industry careers.
