SUMMARY:Jindera Lantern Festival
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Jindera's German heritage by participating in a traditional German Lantern Festival. \n\nChildren and adults create paper lanterns\, participate in a 'der Laternenumzug' lantern procession and are entertained with burning effigies. There will be music to lead the procession\, culminating in the Village Green with a presentation of burning figures\, twirling poi and a rendition from the Australian Choir. German food and beverages will be available at the Village Green.\n\nLantern-making workshops will be available before the Lantern Festival and lanterns will be available for purchase prior to the walk.\n\nFollowing the Parade\, adults can enjoy the Museum's Wine Bar. There they can enjoy a range of food and a selection of cocktails\, mulled wine and other beverages. The atmosphere will be enhanced with the open fire and our local musician.
