About
Get in quick for the hilarious return of Club Sandwich Comedy to the Tuggeranong Arts Centre!
Hosted by Canberra’s own touring headliner, Chris Ryan, the August show features a headline set by national runner-up of RAW Comedy 2023, Jacqui Richards.
Jacqui will be supported by Wagga Wagga-based RAW Comedy 2026 national finalist, Aidan Mungai, and star of Canberra Comedy Festival’s Red, Yellow, Blacklisted, Cameron Ribbons.
Known to sell out, Club Sandwich Comedy is the only performance comedy room in South Canberra — so bring some mates and enjoy a great night out. Tickets are available from the TAC website until sold out.
The Lineup
Chris Ryan’s relatable comedy points out the hilarious absurdities of life and the fact that largely, we’re all imbeciles. If you like your humour with a big dose of uncomfortable truths, you’re in the right place. A multi-award winner at the biggest and most prestigious comedy and arts festivals in Australia, including Melbourne International Comedy Festival and the Sydney Comedy Festival, Chris has had a meteoric rise in the past five years, cementing himself as a household name in Australian comedy.
Jacqui Richards is an ex-therapist, a widow, and a mother of grown-up children who refuse to completely leave home. Her unique humour led her to the RAW Comedy Grand Final in 2023, where she won the title of Runner-Up. As part of the Women’s Room, Jacqui was nominated as ‘Best in Comedy’ at the Sydney Fringe. She has entertained audiences at the Canberra and Melbourne Comedy Festivals. She is known as dark but surprisingly upbeat.
Aidan Mungai is an up-and-coming comedian and 2026 RAW Comedy National Finalist after winning the ACT RAW Comedy State Final. He was happy to be representing Canberra despite the fact that he has never lived there and has never spent more than 24 hours (outside of a Year 6 camp as far as he knows). A regular at the Riverina Comedy Club, where he has performed alongside the likes of Celia Pacquola, Tom Ballard, and Rove McManus, Aidan has been slinging jokes to anyone who’ll listen, even when he probably should have been paying attention and being serious instead. He looks forward to explaining to you the many niche interests and life experiences he is obsessing over currently.
Cameron Ribbons is your local representative for the seat of Canberra comedian. Under the current administration, you’ve seen him at the Canberra Comedy Festival Christmas Gala, Festival Club, or most recently in the Canberra Comedy Festival show: Red, Yellow, Blacklisted. He promises more gags, bigger laughs, and free public transport.
